Spotted Cow Beverage Policies and Procedures
Host Bar
As a host, you are responsible for the purchase and payment of
your guests’ beverage consumption. A host bar must be set up
by the Catering Department before the event. All sales are subject to applicable sales tax (5.5%) and service charge (23%).
Cash Bar
All beverages are paid for by the guests at regular banquet bar
pricing at the time of purchase. If a minimum $300.00 in beverage
sales is not met, a $75.00 per hour bartender fee applies.
Bar Policies
A $50 set-up fee applies for all private bar set-ups.
Beverage Regulations
The sales and service of alcoholic beverages are regulated by
the Wisconsin State Liquor Commission. As a license, the DoubleTree by Hilton, Appleton is responsible for the administration
of these regulations. It is our policy: therefore, that liquor cannot
be brought into the function rooms of the hotel from outside
sources. No carry-ins allowed!

Alcohol beverages will be served by a licensed bartender at all functions. Everyone consuming alcoholic beverages must be of legal drinking
age. Double Tree by Hilton, Appleton policy forbids the consumption of
any alcohol by anyone under 21 years of age regardless of parental
consent, and requires everyone under the age of 40 to present valid
identification to consume alcohol.
Wisconsin law prohibits sales and/or service of alcoholic beverages to
anyone under the legal drinking age. Private parties intending to have
minors present when alcohol is served must notify law enforcement
authorizes of the event.
